Records ERP was not designed from a specification. It was built alongside a working Kenyan manufacturer — one that makes hangers, pegs, trays and plates, produces at one site, transports to another and sells from there.
Most of what is in here exists because of something watched on a factory floor rather than written on a feature list: who records what, in which book, and where two versions of the same day stop agreeing.
That is why a product can be counted in cartons, cases and pieces at once rather than only in each. Why stock can go negative when the sales team is ahead of the store team, instead of blocking the sale. Why a customer can open their own statement on a phone without an account.
The whole thing is built on the assumption that the person using it is busy, was not consulted about the software, and has better things to do than learn it.
